Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Diesel Technician to join our team at General Motors. As a Diesel Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance reliability and safety of our dieselpowered vehicles. From routine maintenance to complex repairs you will utilize your expertise and attention to detail to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related components to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and replace diesel engine components such as fuel injectors turbochargers and exhaust systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications to ensure quality repairs and service.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
Requirements:
- General Motors certification as a Diesel Technician.
- Proven experience working with diesel engines in an automotive or related environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid US Drivers License
- Physically able to stand bend stoop climb reach and lift up to 40 lbs
- Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry
- Ability to read and write English and perform basic math
