Job Description
The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is a richly diverse school district located within the Greater Boston area and accessible by the MBTA orange line train. Maldens student body comprises approximately 6800 students who represent 59 different countries and speak 67 different languages. We have 1 early learning center 5 K8 schools and 1 high school. Qualifications:
- DESE license in Moderate Disabilities Grades 512 or Severe Disablilities (All Levels)
- SEI Endoresment Required
- Experience working with students who have significant intellectual impairments experience with behavior management as well as language and communication delays.
- Candidate must be familiar with the TEACCH instructional model and implementing Functional Behavior Plans.
- Teacher should be able to test for both cognitive and functional living skills.
- Candidate must have experience with differentiated instruction evaluating the skills of students with special needs writing reports and IEPs and compiling Alternate Assessment portfolios.
- Familiarity with augmentative communication assistive technology and sign language.

Salary:Commensurate with Malden Public Schools teacher salary schedule
