What will your job look like
MTM Transit in partnership with Valley Metro is looking for PartTime Paratransit Shuttle Bus Drivers (EntryLevel NonCDL) to join our team in Gilbert AZ. We currently have training classes that start every week.

What Youll Need:
Experience Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must be 21 years or older
Valid U.S. Drivers License for the past 3 years
Possess valid authorization to work in the State of Arizona and the United States
Must be able to pass DOT physical and preemployment drug screening
Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check
No DUIs DWIs or Reckless driving in the past 5 years
Must not have more than 1 moving violation during each of the last 3 years
In the event that your license has been previously revoked you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no violations
Schedule flexibility: Looking for individuals who are available to work 23 days per week between the hours of 4:00am 1:00am 2030 hours per week). Wed prefer for PT Drivers to work 10 hour shifts.
Shifts will be assigned after training is completed training is still fulltime for the first 3 weeks.
Skills:
Ability to use a tablet GPS twoway radio or other electronicdevice
Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
Ability to understand highway traffic signs signals maps manifests andschedules
Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA ADA and DOTregulations
Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea
What Youll Do:
Provide safe and reliable transportation
Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
Ensure the ontime pickup and drop off of the customer
Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
Complete thorough vehicle pretrip posttrip and DVI inspections as required
Complete paperwork as required
Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
