Job Description

Blue Canyon Technologies RTXs small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider is solving some of the toughest challenges in space. Our components and bus platforms have completed missions ranging from verylow Earth orbits to lunar and interplanetary journeys at a fraction of the cost of traditional space systems. Position Purpose: TheIndustrial Engineer applies advanced problemsolving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories to maximize throughput efficiency and value. TheIndustrial Engineers is involved in Capacity Planning Manpower Planning Factory Layout Line Balancing Simulation and Process Modeling Labor Performance Analysis Process Mapping and Project Management.


Title: Sr. Industrial Engineer

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $100000 $185000 (Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.

Location: Boulder CO

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.

Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.

Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints improve efficiency and meet or exceed cost quality and ontime delivery goals.

Create process flows value stream maps pareto charts spaghetti diagrams and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes the movement of material the exchange of information and key metrics.

Build and maintain capacity models for work centers and products.

Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion manufacturing technology insertion infrastructure improvements obsolescence mitigation and the integration of new capabilities.

Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint change the layout of factory equipment and/or add new capability.

Support competitive bids factory proposals business case development for future investments and Make/Buy/Where analyses.

Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.

Required Qualifications/Education:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field and 7 years of relevant experience

Experience with capacity/constraint analysis

Experience with factory layout and work cell design /optimization

Experience with project management

Six Sigma principles

Lean manufacturing principles

Experience with CAD software

Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience with discrete event simulation modeling preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong analytical and creative thinking skills

Strong time management skills ability to multitask and adaptable to changing priorities


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers scanners filing cabinets and fax machines.BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date thenotice was posted.
