The Truck Driver is responsible for assisting construction site workers in their primary tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES identifies essential duties of the role of Truck Driver and may involve performing other duties as required which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time:
- Always conduct a pretrip inspection of the vehicle to ensure working conditions of brakes lights wipers windshield fire extinguisher flares and other safety equipment in the truck.
- Complete ELD when required
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
- Find ways to conserve resources including fuel to benefit the business.
- Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
- Comply with all DOT and inhouse regulation and rules.
- Report defects accidents or violations.
- Ensure cargo is well secured.
