Position Purpose:
Repairs and maintains hotel property as directed by supervisors.

Follows all of the Engineering Divisions SOP to include safety security and work request programs.

Accomplish assigned tasks in a timely safe and costeffective manner. Respond to any Maintenance Requests in a timely manner.

Immediately report to the supervisor any problems or deficiencies during the work period.
Other:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which may be established by Hilton from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel including holidays.
Upon employment all employees are required to fully comply with Hilton rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Acquisition and maintenance of customers.
Maintain a friendly and polite attitude with guest and employee. Educate exemplify to and train those under his control to follow these same directions.
Specific Job Knowledge Skill and Ability:
The individual must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must be capable of working in adverse weather this person will be required to assist in the removal of snow from the hotel property.
Able to lift heavy items without undue strain and no history of any physical impairments that would decrease their ability to complete any heavy handson work.
Ability to work from ladders or other equipment necessary to accomplish normal maintenance and repair of hotel property and equipment.
Working knowledge of HVAC plumbing electric kitchen equipment laundry equipment and tile work. Working knowledge of all shop equipment and its uses.
Qualification Standards:
Education:
Any combination of education training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred.
Experience:
Previous Engineering/Maintenance experience preferred.
Licenses or certificates:
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. Hepatitis A shot required.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance (specific standards available).
