**Position Summary:**
As an Estimator you will work closely with project management to interpret customer specifications and drawings translating them into comprehensive bills of material and accurate cost estimates. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders conducting risk assessments and contributing to the development of project proposals. From implementation to closeout youll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Adhere to established procedures and policies to develop timely and accurate estimates.
Analyze project plans specifications and documents to assess scope and mitigate risks.
Conduct material takeoffs and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes for accuracy.
Maintain estimating databases software and tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in project meetings reviews and walkthroughs to understand agreements and scope.
Organize project documents quotes and estimates according to department procedures.
Collaborate with preconstruction and project management teams to identify efficiencies and costsaving opportunities.
Foster open communication and mutual respect within the team and with external stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
Minimum of a twoyear degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting or equivalent commercial construction experience.
Preferred: At least one year of estimating experience.
Basic understanding or willingness to learn about commercial mechanical systems equipment and techniques.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a willingness to learn estimating software.
Strong organizational communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.

**Physical Demands/Work Environment:**
Primarily a stationary position with occasional movement within the office.
Regular operation of office equipment including computers calculators and printers.
Occasional travel to project sites or other APi Group company locations.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Must adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements in certain environments.
