Job Description
PRN Driver
Status: PRN nonexempt (hourly)
Shift: PRN; as needed for days evenings and/or weekends
minimum shift: 3 hours
Reports to: Transportation Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Drivers License excellent driving record
- Pennsylvania CDL Licensure preferred
- Good judgement and ability work independently
- Excellent customer service with older adult customer
- Honest dependable and safety conscious
Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered to be all inclusive):
- Drive to and from doctor/dental appointments as scheduled daily practicing good driving habits
- Assistance may be required with wheelchairs and partially ambulatory residents
- Drive to and from planned activities and special events
- Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in proper working condition keeping clean serviced and fueled
- Schedule and call residents as necessary to provide proper timing for optimum service as deemed necessary by supervisor
- Be flexible receptive and adaptive to change
- Escort residents to/from Homestead Village vehicle
- Maintain daily logs for vehicle inspections use of vehicle and travel logs and fuel.
