Description:
The Department of Surgery section of Specialized Surgery is seeking a fulltime Otolaryngologistat the ChinookRegional Hospital.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Establish and maintain a fulltime Otolaryngologypractice; a fulltime practice is defined as providing commensurate shifts in keeping with other equivalent practice FTEs;
- Provide inpatient consultations at the Chinook Regional Hospital to the Zone Clinical Department of Surgery;
- Provide community consultations within Lethbridge;
- Provide oncall support as per AHSs oncall schedules and expectations applicable to the SZ Clinical Department ofSurgery or as may otheriwse be established by an appropriate medical leader. Call coverage expected to be 1:4.
- have equal access to OR days as well as equal access to additional blocks based on utilization and need;
- Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the services;
- Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies;
- Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues as a member of the Zone Clinical Department of Surgery;
- Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Zone Clinical Department of Surgery.
Qualifications:
- have FRCSC or American Board certification or equivalent; Fellowship in ENT required
- be Eligible for or have current Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
