Job Description

Position: Head Training & Placements

Work Location: CIT Nagar Saidapet

PositionObjective: The role of a Head of Training and Placement iscrucial for bridging the gap between academia and industry. This positioninvolves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the employability ofstudents and ensuring successful placement outcomes.

Strategic Planningand Management

  1. Developing Placement Policies: Formulate comprehensive placement policies that align with the institutions vision and mission.
  2. Setting Goals: Establish annual placement targets and strategies to achieve them.
  3. Budget Management: Oversee the budget allocated for training and placement activities.

IndustryCollaboration

  1. Building Industry Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with companies industry leaders and alumni to facilitate campus recruitment.
  2. MoUs and Partnerships: Sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with companies for internships projects and placements.

Student Preparation

  1. Training Programs: Design and conduct training programs workshops and seminars to enhance students employability skills including communication technical skills aptitude and soft skills.
  2. Career Counseling: Provide career guidance and counseling to students helping them identify career goals and pathways.
  3. Resume Building and Interview Preparation: Assist students in creating effective resumes and preparing for interviews through mock sessions and feedback.

Placement Drivesand Internships

  1. Organizing Placement Drives: Plan and execute campus recruitment drives ensuring a smooth process for both recruiters and students.
  2. Internship Coordination: Facilitate internships and industry projects for students to gain practical experience.

Data Management andReporting

  1. Maintaining Records: Keep detailed records of students academic performance training activities and placement status.
  2. Reporting: Prepare and present periodic reports on placement activities and outcomes to the college management and stakeholders.

Alumni Relations

  1. Alumni Network: Build and maintain a strong alumni network to support placement activities and mentoring programs.
  2. Alumni Engagement: Organize alumni meets and leverage alumni expertise for training and placement support.

Quality Assurance

  1. Feedback Mechanism: Implement a feedback mechanism from recruiters and students to continually improve the training and placement processes.
  2. Accreditation Support: Support the institution in maintaining accreditation standards related to placements.

Liaison andCoordination

  1. Departmental Coordination: Work closely with academic departments to align training programs with the curriculum and industry requirements.
  2. Administrative Liaison: Act as a liaison between students faculty and industry representatives.

Innovation and Trends

  1. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends job market requirements and emerging technologies to ensure students are wellprepared for future challenges.
  2. Implement Innovations: Introduce innovative training methods and placement strategies to improve outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Engineering Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in training and placement career services or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful placement outcomes.
  • Strong industry network and relationships.
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty students and industry partners.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in both Arts & Science and Engineering domains.
  • Knowledge of emerging industry trends and technologies.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
