The BCBA provides asneeded instruction and support related to behavioral support skills and supports classroom staff in developing skills and strategies in this area. Conducts student assessments and reports as needed for the development of support services.This is a School Year Position 184 days) plus a 5 week parttime summer program. Valid certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst from the Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health and Human Services required. Local travel between programs is required to support students at different school buildings.Please submit resume cover letter copy of professional licensure transcripts and three current letters of reference via SchoolSpring.Essential Duties:Able to develop recommend and implement appropriate data driven culturally responsive instruction individualized goals and accommodations.Able to administer formal and informal assessments and analyze results in order to create diverse and interesting goals and activities.Supports the development of a culturally diverse purposeful respectful and stimulating treatment environment that is organized and positive in nature and geared towards student interests.Prepares for attends and fully participates in student and staff meetings.Demonstrates ongoing professional growth and skills consistent with current research and practice in schoolbased behavior interventions through inservices coursework evaluations and online courses.Accurately completes documentation related to student incidents/injuries physical intervention and 51A reports and/or DPPC.Design develop and implement behavioral interventions which provide appropriate and effective solutions to the obstacles met by students in their academic and social lives.Responds to student behavioral difficulties in a timely manner; follows through with necessary paperwork to ensure student safety.Participates as a member of the Team contributing observations and collaborating in the development of an appropriate IEP.Provides consultation to administrators and staff on student learning behavior social development and intervention strategies.Balances the ability to listen and understand the concerns of all school community members in a way that encourages approachability.Communicates and interacts with parents families staff and the community in a way that promotes a high level of open and honest communication and demonstrates respect and compassion.Expresses him/herself clearly and confidently orally and in writing; capable of responding effectively in a public forum.Supports a culture that advocates and models responsible student decisionmaking and promotes positive behavior changes and respect.As requested or directed provide training to staff in areas of expertise and models appropriate interventions and the desired staff behavior.Collects manages and analyzes student behavioral data as well as creates systems for classroom staff to collect data.Complete all expected paperwork in a high quality manner within mandated/required timelines.Implements all aspects of the educational day which may include activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting feeding transferring selfcare and assistance with mobility including lifting.Effectively utilizes any recommended adaptive equipment for individual students.Participates in all required Collaborative inservices as well as those recommended by supervisors.Communicate all significant occurrences to the appropriate supervisor in a respectful and timely manner.Maintains professional boundaries with parents and students.
