Our commitment to professional growth is unwavering: we provide personalized and meaningful professional learning opportunities that align with each educators unique interests expertise and career aspirations.With a start date of August 15 2025 Kents Hills new English teacher will collaborate with English Department educators striving to instill a love and curiosity of literature and writing in students while advancing the Kents Hill curriculum and their own teaching practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe ideal candidate will be:passionate about teaching students and sharing their love for literature and writingdedicated to studentcentered inquiry and teaching the writing processeager to contribute to the departments ongoing development of its curriculum map rooted in knowledge skills character and reflectionwilling to engage in a culture of collaboration and feedbackcommitted to developing in all Kents Hill students the kinds of sophisticated problemsolving and criticalthinking strategies needed for success beyond secondary educationauthentically engage learners in problems that extend beyond the walls of the classroomculturally competent with skills for engaging with and learning from people with diverse backgrounds and experiencesan educator passionate about the pursuit of their own personal growth through professional developmentcommitted to the boarding school student experience and excited to engage with students both inside and outside of the classroom. Typically this includes: Living in a campus residence and participating in all aspects of residential lifeAdvising a group of studentsInvolvement in afternoon and extracurricular activitiesQUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATIONSExperience teaching English at all levels Introductory to Advanced Placement in a high school settingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to collaborate effectively with students families and colleaguesHow to ApplyPlease send a letter of interest resume and contact information for three references to with the subject line English Teacher.
