Preferred Locations: Florida Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
- Work effectively alongside assigned team or crafts as required.Communicate effectively with verbal and/or written communication.
- Interpret construction welding and electrical drawings and take or read measurements according to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on the requirements of the job.
- Set up components for welding according to detailed specifications.
- Rig lift set align and fit equipment in position according to drawings and specifications.
- Weld Aluminum components in various positions (vertical horizontal or overhead 6G test required).
- Maintain equipment in a working condition and inspect daily for damage or safety concerns.
- Inspect inventory and organize parts and components for installation.
- Perform maintenance on and Inspection of existing aging equipment for defects damage and deterioration.
- Operate electrical test equipment including HiPot Ductor Megger.
- Fill out daily timesheets and job reports as needed.
- Operate company vehicles safely and within company policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience welding aluminum components.
- 3 years experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG and MIG).
- Familiar with medium and high voltage electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use protective equipment working at heights etc.
- Substation construction or electrical bus installation preferred.
- Experience operating equipment including forklift manlift etc.
Other Requirements:
- Up to 75 travel required throughout the continental USA.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; community college or technical school a plus.
- Ability to pass company drug and alcohol screening and background check.
- Valid and current drivers license with clean driving record.

Working Conditions:
This job requires the ability to respond to 24/7 call outs and to work extended hours including evenings nights weekends and holidays as needed. Work may be conducted outdoors in all weather conditions near low medium and highvoltage equipment and heavy machinery in areas with elevations in excess of 100 feet and confined spaces adhering to strict safety protocols. Exposure to loud noises from machinery is common necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This job involves risk of electrical shock. This job requires frequent travel between RMS facilities and customer sites. Physical Requirements:
The position demands physical mobility to navigate uneven surfaces the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly fine motor skills for handling small components and tools and the capability to climb ladders and work at heights. Sustained physical effort including standing bending pushing digging pulling kneeling crawling and reaching for extended periods is required. Good vision including color vision and depth perception and the ability to hear alarms and communications in noisy environments are essential. Additionally proficiency in speaking hearing reading and typing in English is required for effective communication and documentation.
