Job Description
- Take charge of guiding and training a small group of extruder operators towards excellence.
- Maintain efficient organization of tools and spare parts to ensure smooth operations.
- Master the operation and setup of extruder and Header machines for optimal performance.
- Execute preventive services and maintenance tasks including cleaning lubricating and safe stock tool management.
- Liaise effectively with the engineering and maintenance teams to streamline processes.
- Assist in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
- Provide detailed reports to shift supervisors to keep them informed of operations.
- Adhere strictly to safety rules and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
- Implement and maintain 5S principles for a clean and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- Trade qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate effectively with the team
- Experience in FMCG Packaging or Pharmacetuical industries would be highly regarded
- Hands on proactive and selfmotivated
