Job Description
As an Environmental Stormwater Inspector/Entrylevel Wetland Scientist you will support projects that include inspections of Oil & Gas constructed projects for permit compliance with Best Management Practices for Erosion & Sediment Control and stream & wetland crossings. This position is available in the Cranberry Township PA office and will require to travel overnight approximately 20 of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Collection and management of data through electronic handheld devices.
- Conducts field exploration sampling inspection analysis and technical support as applicable under direct supervision.
- Write field reports internal correspondence and sections of formal reports and proposals.
- Analyze and enter environmental data.
- Communicate with Kleinfelder staff subcontractors and clients.
- Ensure quality of tasks assigned.
- Participate in Kleinfelders safety culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in environmental science ecological science or biology.
- 04 years of experience in environmental work focused on wetland delineation.
- Ability to work with senior staff to help prepare permit documents environmental reports correspondence documents calculations and conduct analyses.
- Possess excellent technical writing skills and verbal skills.
- Skilled in understanding and interpreting regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to engage on multiple projects.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work yearround in adverse climate and field conditions.
- Adaptable to varying work schedules and capable of meeting critical deadlines beyond standard hours.
- Willingness to travel to West Virginia Pennsylvania and Ohio with the potential travel in other states (requiring overnight stay).
- A valid drivers license.
Preferred Experience/Certifications:
- Coursework and/or experience with conducting stream and wetland delineations in accordance with USACE and state protocols. plant and soil identification.
- Experience using ArgGIS and GPS.
- Experience with oil and gas pipelines compressor stations and well pad construction.
