Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Working under the supervision of a research team leader provides assistance on clinical research studies which may include collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling subjects for study visits; and maintaining and updating data generated by studies.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees may not perform all duties described but should have the ability to perform them if necessary.
1.Provide assistance on clinical research studies as per study guidelines and protocols.
2.Perform entry level administrative skills under general supervision.
3.Schedule and register patients for appointments/procedures confirm appointments/procedures prepare for patient visit by providing patient with all necessary information and completing all necessary tasks.
4.Collect and organize patient data.
5.Maintain and update study generated data.
6.Provide cross coverage as needed.
7.Assist with special projects as directed.
8.Follow HIPAA guidelines for the management of patient privacy and confidentiality.
9.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with the study participants.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of computer programs databases etc.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.

Careful attention to detail.

Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects rights and individual needs.
