General OverviewThe individual in this position serves as the Test Technician for the Clinical Device and Biomedical Device Integration team for the Partners eCare project a capitally funded clinical project for the implementation of an enterprise common clinical system for the enterprise. The teams primary responsibility is the successful integration of designated medical devices used at the patient bedside to Partners eCare.
Test Technicians help define and carry out appropriate tests to confirm a products compliance with quality standards. Managing all testing metrics and report documenting test results analyzing data and recommending product improvements are also important parts of the job. This is accomplished by high quality test planning test defect tracking/reporting (bug and vendor ticket updates) and close coordination with project teams and customers to achieve final acceptance of the product for production release.
Job Duties Generates testing metrics and reports as per the Test Approach and needs of the Clinical Device and Biomedical Device Integration Team
Develop and maintain QA test scripts analyze bugs interact with team members in fixing bugs and perform endtoend testing
Execute test plan and scripts across all development and operations projects using testing methodologies
Participate in application analysis test strategy development test case creation test script development test defect tracking and reporting
Determine acceptable range for test results and performance working with business and technology leads.
Identify appropriate data for testing and use same for test cases working with business and technical personnel
Assist technical support staff to identify and resolve problems
Help resolving and communicating crossapplication architectural issues and decisions
Analyze and review test sequence and scope based upon test results and changes in product design
Coordinate component system and documentation testing with technical groups and release management
Record test procedures and findings and reconcile test results from different tests and groups. Support the Test Coordinator in managing defect resolution calls and necessary retests.

Associates and/or Bachelors degree in Computer Science related field required
Must have at least 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Testing
Must have basic level of understanding of software development
Experience with test ; diagnosing reporting tracking and resolving quality issues
Preferred:
HL7 experience (the language systems are using to share EMR info / framework for the exchange integration sharing and retrieval of electronic health information)
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Working knowledge of unit integration regression and user interface automated testing
