Job Description

U.S. Sales Director

Job Description

Reporting to: Vice President of Sales

Director of Sales Responsibilities:

  • Customer centric and ready to respond to customer needs requirements and problems in accordance with company policy
  • Full accountability for sales pipeline sales and directs sales team to achieve/exceed the company and regional sales objectives
  • Hires develops and manages sales staff inclusive of succession plan and developing talent of the existing team
  • Understanding of medical device development and/or bioprocess market
    1. GMP and ISO standards related to the medical device and bioprocess markets
  • Ability to develop and execute and monitor strategic growth plans which include:
    1. Territory mapping and alignments
    2. Forecasting data and trend analysis
    3. Monthly quarterly and annual sales objectives
  • Communicate results strategies and tactical plans with executive management and other internal stakeholders
  • Lead motivate and manage team to maximize customer relationships and loyalty
    1. Lead Inside Sales approach
    2. Coordinate Outside Sales efforts
    3. Research and qualify target companies for proactive selling events
    4. Organize and lead sales meetings to assess company and individual performance
  • Establish sales training program(s) to train employees on policies procedures products and for individual personal growth
  • Drive key behavior compliance with Qosina systems and CRM tools
  • Monitors incoming customer request activity to ensure timely and accurate responses/action
  • Supports sales representative to conduct customer business reviews
  • Performs all required administrative functions i.e. monthly reports correspondence with sales personnel customers expense reporting etc
  • Collaborates with marketing on projects that affect sales activity
  • Must embody the Companys Vision Mission and Values
  • Other duties may be assigned

Director of Sales Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing business administration or a relevant field
  • Proven experience in sales with strong demonstrated results
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a sales director or 5 years experience managing sales team
  • Indepth knowledge of medical device marketing and sales techniques and best practices preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with capacity to manage various projects and work to meet customer deadlines.
  • Excellent diplomacy/negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Strong work ethic with collaborative attitude
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including excellent presentation skills
  • Comfortable interacting and presenting to Executive team and Board members
  • Must be able to travel domestically by air and car and work occasional weekends. Travel up to 50.
  • Requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Windows Microsoft Office Suite of products Word Excel and Power Point and deep understanding of CRM systems.
  • Understanding of and adherence to GMPs (and/or ISO standards) is required when in facility.
