Position Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist will provide critical respiratory care during statedeclared emergencies working in settings such as Medical Special Needs Shelters (MSNS) urgent care centers and Temporary Medical Operation Staging Areas (TMOSA).

Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license
- Experience: 1 years in respiratory care required
- Technical Skills: Patient assessments diagnostic testing respiratory treatments life support management
- Soft Skills: Critical thinking adaptability teamwork patient education
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic tests (pulmonary function ABG analysis)
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications
- Manage mechanical ventilation and life support systems
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients on respiratory health management
- Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols
