Job Description

Purpose and role of job:

Troubleshoot and maintain controls components and automation systems for production equipment to insure highest reliability proper line performance and safe operation.

**Must be able to work 12hour night shift.**

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots maintains and installs PLCs HMIs process instrumentation machine control systems variable frequency drives servo drives machine vision robotics power distribution <600V) and control system networking
  • Interface with PLC/HMI program to diagnoseequipment issues
  • Read and use electrical schematics and electrical test equipment to diagnose equipment issues
  • Performs electrical preventative maintenance to maintain like new equipment condition
  • Works closely with the production and support disciplines to identify and resolve problems
  • Assists with department projects and equipment installations as necessary
  • Owns personal safety and is expected to follow all electrical safety rules and guidelines

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School Diploma with Associates Degree (in Mechatronics Electrical Technology Robotics & Automation Electrical Maintenance ElectroMechanical Technology Controls Technology).
  • Preferred 13 years of industrial controls experience (preferred).
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory and principles of operation
  • Fundamental knowledge of three phase single phase and DC power
  • Familiar with NEC and standard wiring practices
  • Ability to utilize and interpret an electrical multimeter
  • Fundamental knowledge of PLC hardware and software
  • Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic
  • Fundamental knowledge of servo motion control (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Safety oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Strong analytical skills.
