SUMMARY
Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work relating to one of the following trades: carpentry plumbing electrical HVAC and environmental.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Complete assigned trade work orders as designated by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Possess qualification of general maintenance employees. Prefer a trade or technical school certificate. Prefer journeymans experience in related field. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of current trade laws through satisfactory completion of trade test and current law conducted by a preselected testing method.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram blueprints or schedule form.
Must have a valid drivers license.
