The Culinary Lab Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the Culinary Caf Lab ensuring a smooth and efficient environment for both students and guests. This role involves managing lab activities maintaining sanitation standards coordinating menus collaborating with the county Health Department for inspections and ensuring inventory control. The position accounts for 50 of lab responsibilities with the remaining 50 dedicated to teaching.

You have a strong knowledge of culinary operations food safety standards and inventory management with a solid understanding of SERV Safe guidelines and health department regulations.
You enjoy overseeing the daytoday activities of the Culinary Caf Lab ensuring efficient and smooth operations during normal business hours.
You have strong organizational skills that are essential for managing daily operations coordinating menus and maintaining inventory.
You can supervise and mentor culinary students and have the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with faculty staff and external partners including the Health Department and Marketing team.
You have excellent teaching skills to deliver culinary courses ensuring students receive comprehensive instruction.
To Be Considered Youll Need:
Requires a minimum of an Associates degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited institution with SERV Safe Food Manager or Instructor certification or National Restaurant Association certification.
Minimum of three years of fulltime equivalent work experience in applied food service along with experience working in a scratch kitchen.
Experience in managing a budget as well as food service operations is required.
Must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to pedagogy.
Facetoface daytime and evening availability at all Stark State Campuses is required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Teaching Culinary Courses: Teach culinary courses as assigned covering 78 credit hours per semester to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in the culinary arts.
Collaborate with the Health Department:Work with the county Health Department to schedule and facilitate inspections ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Menu Coordination: Plan organize and coordinate daily and special menus for the Culinary Caf Lab ensuring variety quality and alignment with culinary standards.
Inventory and Supply Management:Monitor and maintain inventory levels for all necessary products and supplies required for the operation of the Culinary Caf Lab ensuring resources are stocked and readily available.
Sanitation Oversight: Develop and maintain a sanitation schedule for the Culinary Caf Lab that adheres to food safety guidelines ensuring a clean and safe environment for all operations.
Supervise Culinary Students: Manage schedule and supervise all culinary students working in the Culinary Caf Lab providing guidance support and mentorship to foster skill development and professionalism.
Collaborate with Marketing:Work closely with the Marketing team to create update and maintain signage and menu postings ensuring that the Culinary Caf Labs offerings are clearly communicated to customers.
