Job Description
Reports To: ChiefInformation Officer
Direct Reports: MSP IT Associates
Summary:
Eurasia Group is at the beginning of a Digital Transformation. The Director of IT Infrastructure will playan important role in ensuring the successful launch of new solutions andenhancements supporting enduser adoption and continually evaluating andupdating the strategy to modernize the business and provide services andsolutions that will help a lean business run as efficiently and smoothly aspossible.
The Director of IT Infrastructure is accountable for the overalltechnical direction and support of the IT Infrastructure of Eurasia Group. Theprimary objectives of the position will be to drive quality in Eurasia Groupstechnology operations develop a service orientation and position and enablethe company for growth though digital scale. The Directors charter will be toensure the smooth running of all of Eurasia Groups TechnologyInfrastructure. Direct and appropriatelyparticipate in the vision planning design implementation and support of all networkIT data center data and analytics telephony security and IT operations. This leader will manage a small team ofengineers an MSP partner and several vendors.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the 24/7/365operation of Infrastructure including telecommunications workstations endusercomputing and support service desk telephony and video teleconferencing.
- Oversee the visiondirection and support of all IT infrastructure internal/colocation/cloud datacenters networks disaster recovery and vendor management as it relates toglobal networks server and storage management enduser telecommuting/collaborationtelephony video conferencing and security.
- All management of theoutsourced and thirdparty vendors for IT services support products andintegration.
- Establish technicalstandards with regard to platforms frameworks and roadmaps; ensure that thetechnical standards are communicated and used effectively throughoutapplication development. Provideleadership to ensure that the portfolio of applications is fundamentally soundand fully integrated.
- Provide leadership over existingand new programs policies and procedures for IT Infrastructure operations andIT Security. Continuously work to improve the IT Infrastructure organizationsoperation through evaluation and implementation of industry best practicesbenchmark analysis and metrics.
- Effectively and regularlycommunicate upgrades and changes to the enduser community.
- Handson 24/7 personal touchto providing enduser care; and subsequent regular communication throughCommunicateIT and monitoring the technical operations of all layers of ITInfrastructure.
- Support the corporateinnovation agenda by creating a dynamic IT organization and environment.
- Effectively manage theexpense and capital budget ensuring that the system requirements are known andsocialized through effective planning and communication with the stakeholdersincluding an agreedupon prioritization process that reflects the companygoals.
- Manage IT resourcerequirements to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategicdemands.
- Motivate and lead anorganization that effectively supports the business by hiring developing andretaining highly qualified staff.
- Perform other duties asassigned.
SupervisoryResponsibilities
Carry outsupervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies andapplicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring training anddeveloping associates; planning assigning and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints andresolving problems.

Education and/orExperience
Minimum of aBachelors degree from a four year college or university and minimum ten years related experience in managementand IT. Experience working in rapid growth dynamic transformationalorganizations is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicalsprofessional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations towrite reports business correspondence and procedure manuals and toeffectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers clients employees and the general public.
