The Role:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HRrelated duties on a professional level and works closely with HR leadership while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas with a main focus on talent acquisition employee relations/investigations employee engagement and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the internal and external recruitment efforts for the property developing sourcing strategies and community partnerships to garner top talent
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding initiatives to include new hire orientation
  • Assists in conducting effective thorough and objective investigations
  • Assists in providing performance management guidance to property leadership (coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions).
  • Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation consistent with policies and State and Federal regulations
  • Analyzes onboarding and exit surveys identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in processes
  • Assists with design and of engagement wellness and retention events to include back of house branding initiatives
  • Enthusiastically supports actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration HR or other relevant degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years HR experience preferred.
  • PHR SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office software.
  • Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture.
  • Highly effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills presentation skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state local and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR.
