Lyndon Institute is seeking to hire a full time French Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year. This position will report directly to the Dean of Academics and be responsible for providing instruction in the French language and culture to students in grades 912.Summary:This role involves planning preparing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles while promoting proficiency in speaking listening reading and writing. The teacher will create a supportive and interactive classroom environment that encourages students to develop a deep understanding of French grammar vocabulary and cultural context. The position also involves assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success. Additional duties may include participating in school events meetings and professional development activities.Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver French language lessons for high school students. Assess and track student progress through tests quizzes assignments and class participation. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Incorporate various teaching methods and materials including technology to engage students. Prepare students for exams and language proficiency assessments. Promote cultural awareness by integrating Frenchspeaking countries customs traditions and history into lessons. Communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues. Participate in extracurricular activities such as language clubs or cultural events as needed.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in French Education or a related field. Certification to teach French at the high school level is preferred but not required. Demonstrated expertise in French language and culture with teaching experience across a variety of high school and/or postsecondary level courses. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and fostering a love of the French language and culture.
