Position Summary

The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation is looking for a dynamic Grants Management Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role brings a balanced skill set and excels in building strong relationships across departments to ensure successful collaboration.

In this role the Grants Management Associate will work closely with the Grants Management team throughout the entire grantmaking process. Responsibilities include performing due diligence on applicants and grantees processing application and grant requirements (such as application invites reports payments award letters and amendments) and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Vice President of Grants Management the Grants Management Associate will manage both daytoday tasks and projectbased priorities with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the administration of the Foundations grantmaking efforts working collaboratively with team members in a supportive and engaging work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review grant applications budgets and templates for completeness and adherence to IRS requirements and internal Foundation guidelines.
  • Assist Grants Management Officer(s) in conducting compliancebased review of applications and grant reports.
  • Collaborate across the Foundation with relevant team members to ensure streamlined efficient and effective grantmaking activities.
  • Communicate with grantees and organizations on financial aspects including review of audited financials 990 Forms and budgets.
  • Run ongoing background checks and key word searches on applicants and grantees and escalate issues to appropriate channels for resolution.
  • Maintain and ensure integrity of data in accordance with compliance legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct adhoc and routine data reporting requests from the grants management system for external audiences and to support staff decision making.
  • Manage postaward payments for designated grant portfolios.
  • Assist with preparation of board meeting dockets and supporting documentation.
  • Develop training materials and assist with training applicants and grantees via webinars and educational workshops during the preand postaward process.
  • Prepare and assist with distribution and collection of application and grantrelated correspondence including grant agreements amendments reporting requirements and other notifications as needed.
  • Monitor and respond to general email inquiries about the Foundation.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned or needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in a similar philanthropic or nonprofit role with a focus on grants management financial operational due diligence or monitoring.
  • Experienced in utilizing grants management databases software and systems.
  • Commitment to accuracy and high level of attention to detail.
  • Motivated and results oriented.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks set priorities and ensure timely completion of work to meet various deadlines.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • A demonstrated ability and interest in working independently on a wide range of issues as well as the ability to crosscollaborate and establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for conferences or meetings.

Compensation
This is a fulltime exempt position. The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation expects to pay an annual salary in the range of $90000$105000 for this role.

Conditions and Requirements

  • This position involves prolonged periods of working on a computer and being in a highrise office environment for most of the scheduled work week.
