About The Job:

At KeyBank we are looking for passionate multidisciplinary product owners who are as comfortable leading a brainstorming session as they are collaborating with end users and others to build a strong sustainable system. We want product owners who will obsess as much about the employee and client experience as they will about the overall business benefit. This is a fast moving high energy environment where the right individual can make a difference quickly in the lives of 5000 Retail Branch Employees and our entire client base.

Responsible for contributing to and executing against the strategic plan for enhancing the capabilities of our products and systems used in the Consumer Bank with a focus on process/system simplification and usercentered design. With a desire to innovate and think client first your objectives will be focused on building out a contextually relevant and data driven features roadmap to achieve maximum engagement and employee and client satisfaction.Initiate and lead projects to implement enhancements to current retail banking capabilities and help drive innovation while collaborating closely with change management technology product partners vendors and internal partners to ensure effective deployment of enhancements that align with the current budget to maximize our technology investment.


Essential Job Functions:

Build and maintain strategy for the retail system product you own. Should align to the Consumer Bank overall strategy and retail needs.

Solid understanding of the Agile framework. Will be required to:

  • Write user stories that paint the picture of what the enhancement should look/feel like

  • Be able to clearly articulate and document banker/client journeys to support the enhancement

  • Prioritize enhancements to both align with retail strategic pillars and deliver the greatest value

  • Support the creation of test scenarios to ensure that the enhancement is meeting the expectations prior to releasing to end users

  • Support and sign off on release validation and success

Collaborate and engage with partners and product owners within and outside of your span of control to ensure enhancements align with the Consumer Bank overall strategy and retail banking needs:

  • Product Owners: Align on release timing and design of enhancements to ensure we deliver a consistent experience across systems

  • Risk/Legal/Compliance: Obtain appropriate approvals/guidance on the enhancement and design to ensure they meet the One Risk Standard and Expectations as appropriate

  • Tech Leads: Align on what development will look like/feel like and cost/effort of the enhancement to prioritize when the enhancement will go live

  • Retail Change Management Team: Work to create an effective change management plan to ensure buyin and understanding of the enhancement before going live with the change

  • Training: Work with training partners to create resources/tools that will support the enhancement as appropriate

  • Doc Development: Work with our Doc Dev team to create or update policy/procedures that support the change as appropriate

  • Line of Business: Work with the LOB as appropriate for changes they are requesting to inform prioritization and look/feel of the enhancement

  • Enterprise Architecture: Engage our EA partners as appropriate when determining how the change is developed to drive simplicity

Make sound datadriven judgments drawing from both analytical data sources and qualitative data sources.

Establish and manage to a product roadmap and delivery backlog which includes prioritizing the product backlog often to assure goals budgets and commitments are met.

Lead a squad of technical business analysts software engineers designers and QA engineers to build and deliver regular enhancements to KeyBanks Retail Systems.

Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations that tell the story of upcoming enhancements and expectations as well as share out on current roadmaps strategy and any roadblocks.

Embrace UserCentered Design philosophy to deliver value and simplicity into the end users experience which includes gathering constant feedback from end users conducting research sessions and being open to ideas that come through feedback channels.

Drive project plans and manage projects with aggressive time frames to ensure goals budgets and deadlines are met. Should align with Retail Systems Team OKRs

Maintain and manage multiple and/or changing priorities quickly with flexibility initiative innovation and a team focus to drive success.

Use problem solving skills that help identify isolate and resolve problems and issues in a timely fashion to negate or minimize client/banker impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of Retail Banking Marketing or Technical Development work with a preference for candidates with Agile Product Management experience

  • Bachelors degree in business marketing information systems management or business equivalent preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams influence partner outcomes and develop comprehensive roadmaps and system plans. Experience with teams in both waterfall and agile environments is a plus

  • Combination of business depth and technical savvy

  • Strong/expert background in analytics with demonstrated ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into meaningful conclusions and actionable strategic plans that support business objectives

  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with crossfunctional/external stakeholders to both gain understanding of business objectives and to facilitate of strategic direction

  • Clear understanding of Retail Bank technology and overarching Consumer Bank Strategy

  • Fundamental knowledge of retail banking including marketing products and current industry trends

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills that can explain technical concepts for nontechnical audiences

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68000to $103000annually depending on location and jobrelated factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includeseligibility forshortterm incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
