BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY: In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources the Human Resources Coordinator will engage in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership for developing and implementing the districts recruitment efforts human capital development initiatives and employee relations functions. Additionally this role will oversee and coordinate the districts efforts to strengthen talent development and performance management. The focus will be on using data to set priorities for improvement and align efforts with ongoing strategic initiatives. This role will also assist the Director of Human Resources with employee relations matters.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Texas teaching certification
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Clear and valid Texas drivers license

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

  • Texas Education Agency (TEA) rules regulations and procedures.
  • Instructional practices multitiered systems of support and human resource practices.
  • Academic programs intervention strategies and teacher appraisal processes.

Skills in:

  • Designing implementing measuring and refining programs and services through collaborative team efforts.
  • Using technology and software applications (e.g. email word processing spreadsheets presentations).
  • Analyzing complex information and developing longrange and immediate plans.
  • Communicating effectively through both verbal and written presentations.

Abilities to:

  • Foster collaboration across departments to enhance service delivery program development and satisfaction.
  • Deliver essential services consistently across campuses and the district.
  • Ensure vertical and horizontal system integration to support high student achievement.

Management of Administrative Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain highquality candidates in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources.
  • Develop and direct the current and longrange plans policies and guidelines for the assigned programs and services; continuously assess and seek improvements or updates to enhance program effectiveness; provide materials guidance and direction for teachers and campus contacts; visit campuses; provide onsite observations; and attend meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate departmental activities with other District offices and administrators; assist as requested.
  • Respond to campus support needs and work with newly hired teaching staff to provide resources to meet those needs.
  • Provide best practice guidance for instructional and multitiered systems of support programs and district practices.
  • Coordinate districtwide initiatives resulting in improved retention rates for the district.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Student Services and the Curriculum and Instruction department to implement processes to strengthen new hire onboarding and support effective coaching and mentoring systems.
  • Help research develop and implement training programs that support teachers and principals in addressing key school and district priorities.
  • Design and implement a districtwide professional development system that supports educators through jobembedded learning professional learning communities and training aligned with district goals and staff needs.
  • Conduct presentations and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist campus administrators and teacher leaders in leading supporting and facilitating a variety of professional learning activities to improve teacher retention.
  • Provide leadership for implementing a teacher career pathway plan including developing teacher leaders at the campus level.
  • Ensure talent and performance management efforts support better efficiency and effectiveness across programs and operations.
  • Manage the process of analyzing educator evaluation data to provide teachers with individual coaching and support plans.
  • Support campus administration using educator evaluation and student data to make instructional decisions.
  • Coordinate effective districtwide employee recognition programs for both new hires and existing employees.

School/Community Relations and Communications:

  • Maintain positive and timely communication with campus administrators and instructional coaches.
  • Research recommend implement and oversee district and department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.
  • Adhere to policies established by federal and state law including State Board of Education rules and local Board policies.
  • Collaborate with governmental agencies businesses civic organizations and the community to share information and promote district initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to calls and emails from district staff regarding concerns about newly hired teachers and work with all stakeholders to find resolutions.

Human Resource Management:

  • Evaluate and lead retention initiatives.
  • Recognize exemplary performance of newly hired teaching staff.
  • Support and train campus administrative staff on the retention of newly hired teaching staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Human Resources to implement processes for identifying recruiting selecting placing supporting and retaining highquality staff.
  • Review refine and provide ongoing support for the district mentoring program to ensure it remains effective and meets the needs of participants.
  • Assist in handling employee relations issues by providing support guidance and resolution strategies to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Organization Improvement/Morale:

  • Encourage collaboration and teamwork among department staff campus leaders and newly hired teachers.
  • Promote open communication and teamwork between department staff and campus leaders to improve service delivery and support program development.

Professional Growth and Development:

  • Facilitate professional development based on newly hired teacher data.
  • Guide assigned staff in participating planning and implementing professional development that increases effectiveness and improves District performance.
  • Participate in professional development that increases effectiveness and improves District performance.
  • Facilitate guidance and monitoring to the student teachers after initial placement has occurred.
  • Oversee the exit interview process for both professional and paraprofessional personnel.

Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies. Continuously analyze the results and adjust as needed by collaborating with placement offices universities Regional Education Service Center staff professional associations and other recruitment resource organizations.
  • Coordinate the recruitment program and ensure the district is represented positively and professionally.
  • Plan and coordinate the annual district teacher job fair.
  • Organize the districts participation in external job fairs.
  • Manage and oversee the entire recruiting and advertising strategy including social media posts and advertisements across all media platforms.



Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

  • Supervise the Districts front desk receptionist

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
  • Motion: Frequent walking
  • Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Environment: Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise
  • Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours; Ability to drive frequently to various district locations including the ability to manage long hours on the road while maintaining focus and professionalism.
