Mill River Union High School School located in the picturesque town of North Clarendon Vermont is seeking a dedicated and passionate .5 FTE Drivers Education Teacher to join our team for the school year. Our school is committed to providing a supportive and engaging educational environment where every student can thrive. The Opportunity:Mill River Union High School School is looking for an enthusiastic educator to teach high school drivers education. This is a parttime 0.5 FTE) position focused on equipping students with the skills knowledge and confidence needed for safe and responsible driving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in studentcentered instruction and a commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.

- Expertise in Drivers Education: Ability to teach safe driving practices traffic laws and vehicle operation.
- Commitment to Student Success: Dedication to improving outcomes for all learners.
- Instructional Differentiation: Skill in adapting lessons to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey safety concepts and driving techniques.
- RelationshipBuilding: Strong rapport with students to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.
- ProficiencyBased Learning: Familiarity with proficiencybased learning and assessment practices.
- Certification (or eligibility for certification) in Drivers Education.
- Classroom Instruction: Instructs students in classroombased drivers education covering traffic laws road safety and responsible driving practices.
- BehindtheWheel Training: Provides incar driving instruction to students focusing on skill development and safe driving habits.
- Learning Environment: Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
- Behavior Standards: Encourages students to set and maintain high standards of safety and responsibility.
- Goal Setting: Guides students through the process of obtaining their learners permit and/or drivers license.
- Student Evaluation: Assesses students knowledge and driving skills through written assessments and practical driving evaluations.
- Communication: Maintains regular communication with students parents/guardians and school staff regarding student progress.
- Collaborative Support: Works with school counselors case managers and other educators to support student success.
- Safety Compliance: Ensures that all instruction adheres to Vermont state laws and safety regulations for drivers education.
