Job Description
Thetford Elementary School is seeking to fill a vacancy for an elementary classroom teacher starting with theschool year. This is a fulltime position. This will be for a 3rd and 4th grade class.About Us:Thetford Elementary School is a vibrant studentcentered learning community serving 171 students in multiage classrooms. Our innovative approach to education fosters collaboration critical thinking and a deep sense of curiosity. With a strong commitment to experiential learning we integrate a robust garden program and outdoor classrooms into our curriculum allowing students to connect with nature develop handson skills and engage in meaningful realworld learning experiences. At TES we nurture the whole childacademically socially and emotionallypreparing students for success at Thetford Academy. The K6 Teacher will be responsible for delivering an engaging and rigorous curriculum that supports students academic social and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will create a positive and inclusive classroom culture utilize differentiated instruction and foster a love for learning in students.To apply for this position interested candidates need to complete the school spring application and include: a cover letter resume three current letters of recommendation transcripts (undergraduate and graduate if applicable unofficial copies are acceptable) proof of licensure as a Vermont licensed elementary teacher 100 or the ability to become licensed and PRAXIS (or the equivalent) test scores.
