About Us
ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract Serco in partnership with Bupa provide defenceready clinical and support staff across 50 onbase locations nationally ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care. You will be responsible for providing clerical services including maintenance of electronic and hard copy health records maintaining databases and information management systems filing and photocopying and ordering stationery. You will also communicate with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required. The work you undertake will be in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures MedicalinConfidence and StaffinConfidence standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Minimum of 1 year fulltime experience in an Administrative role (or parttime equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment (desirable).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe efficient and highquality care to patients.
About Cerberus
Cerberus Health Centre is located at HMAS Cerberus in Westernport (adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula). This Naval base has approximately 4000 members and is the primary training establishment for young recruits (about 6000 personnel trained annually) averaging 800 trainees onboard at any one time. The health centre provides primary medical outpatient dental nursing physiotherapy mental health and pharmaceutical services. It contains a 30 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are generally 07:30 15:30 Monday Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and oncall shifts). The facility is also responsible for the provision of afterhours services to ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.
About You
With experience working in a clinical support role you enjoy knowing your work is contributing to positive health outcomes for patients. Your excellent interpersonal skills mean you are able to easily communicate with internal staff and external customers and your team knows you are willing to go the extra mile to help out wherever needed. You understand the importance of accurate and uptodate record keeping in a clinical environment and take pride in being responsible for this. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing clinical support services and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
