IS Security Organization Overview:
The bioMerieux IS Security organization sets the strategy to protect and secure the company against risk and threats through advocacy awareness assessment policy and best practices designs. We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Information Security Analyst to join us in our Salt Lake City HQ that can help us shape and manage the overall security readiness for our high growth company. In this role you will work with some of the best experts in the field and leading technology partners in the industry across the globe. Youll get a unique opportunity to evaluate propose and implement security measures to prevent and detect information security incidents and improve the companys overall security posture. Typical Job Duties:
- Research latest security best practices staying abreast of new threats and vulnerabilities and disseminate this information to appropriate groups within the organization.
- Coordinate and execute security projects for the organization
- Respond to security incidents as part of the Incident Response Team.
- Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security determines causes of security violations and designs countermeasures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject or 25 years of experience
- Strong communication skills to consult with a wide range of customers and stakeholders
- System administration networking log analysis cloud technologies and data forensics
- Security Detection/Remediation/Prevention
- Analytical Skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to implement security policies and frameworks
- Ability to coach others on how to develop and implement security principles
- Operational Knowledge of security solutions such as IDS/IPS Web Security MFA DLP EDR and cloud security tools
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Network engineering experience CCNA or higher (CCNP and/or CCIE).
- CCNA or higher (CCNP and/or CCIE)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- CompTIA Security
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
