$1213 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online graduate music or lab courses.
Job Summary:
The parttime faculty position in Physics involves teaching the Physics II laboratory course delivered in person. Physics II is the second semester of an introductory physics course covering electricity and magnetism optics and modern physics. Teaching responsibilities include explaining physics concepts to students conducting labs grading assignments and maintaining effective communication with students. Additionally the instructor will maintain a strong online presence through the learning management system (Brightspace) by posting lab announcements grading online assignments and updating the online gradebook in a timely manner.
While this position is for Spring 2024 we may have additional teaching opportunities in lecture or lab instruction for College Physics or General Physics I/II in future semesters. This position would be ideal for those looking to expand their teaching portfolio and potentially continue with additional instructional roles in the department.
