Supply Chain and Logistics Warehouse (South Waterfront) and Marquam Hill are our primary medical supply picking and distribution staging points. TheSupply Chain and Logistics Warehouse is not your typical warehouse environment due to healthcare customers. Marquam Hill is a healthcare environment with supplies originating from the staging points of the loading docks. This position will report within the Supply Chain Operations ORG but will work within the Supply Chain and Logistics Warehouse.
The main objective of this role is to supply customers with the necessary goods and services to facilitate their
job functions and contribute to the OHSU mission of healing teaching and discovery. Individuals in this role
regularly engage with customers to address and solve issues. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse
operations delivering medical supplies supporting inventory activities restocking and maintaining POU
machines handling linen distribution and collection and performing various tasks related to medical supply
distribution for direct patient care areas. The role may also involve serving as a backup lead worker. This
position represents the initial tier within a twolevel job classification and reports to Logistics Managers.
Maintains knowledge of adheres to and knows the locations fordepartmental policy procedure safety and MSDS manuals.
When tasked drives organizational vehicles in a safe and efficient mannerassist Logistics Fleet and Warehouse supervisors with the maintenance and refueling maintain drivers log and fills out vehicle inspection reports asnecessary. Have and maintain a valid drivers license. Maintain specialequipment as assigned i.e. tire chains inclement weather accessories tirejacks etc. Performs emergency roadside service to vehicles such as changinga flat tire.
Job Related Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
The employee might encounter soiled linen during job tasks. Employees may handle the handling pickingand stocking of hazardous items such as fluids including Cidex. Hazardous material handling training willbe provided to ensure that employees are wellequipped to handle such materials safely.
It is essential to observe proper safety precautions before dealing with any hazardous or soiled materials. Inthis role employees may work in environments exposed to various weather elements such as rain hailsnow heat humidity and wind. Additionally there may be fluctuating noise levels dust vibrations andoccasional wet or slippery areas.
