Job description

In this role you will need design and draw complex Electronic Security System (ESS) and ClosedCircuit Camera System (CCTV) equipment and components; and infrastructure to support ESS communication systems and power systems.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a minimum SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Design create and modify ESS designs from initial concept to release for construction (RFC)
• Interpret specifications and requirements and prepare requests for information (RFIs) when needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and system wiring schematics.
• Assist project manager in planning and scheduling work packages.
• Work closely with Engineers and the Project Management team to modify or change designs as needed.
• Modify update and prepare redline & AsBuilt drawing sets.
• Provide project status/updates to the respective project manager and team leader.
• Utilize controlled documentation and government standards application guides and industry best practices to complete onsite installations at various locations worldwide.
• Apply existing knowledge base to rapidly obtain proficiency on newly developed components and systems.
• Leverage manufacturers literature and technical support to quickly develop a finished product.
• This work requires up to 40 travel to domestic and overseas sites.

Additional development and responsibilities may include.

• Install program troubleshoot and test electronic security system components such as:InputOutput devices

Layered Network switches.
RF network systems
Battery Backup systems
Command control and display equipment
Access control and credentialing systems (e.g. Genetec Lenel AMAG Vindicator Software house)
CCTV cameras and video management servers (e.g. Genetec Bosch Vindicator)
Sensors such as motion detectors (PIR) balanced magnetic switches (BMS) vibration detectors buried line sensors (BLS) fiber optic sensor systems (FOSS) and RADAR/microwaves.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture
• CCNA or CompTIA Security recommended.
• AutoCAD a plus
• Associate Level Vendor Specific Certification preferred (e.g. Intrusion Detection CCTV or Access Control Systems).

Salary: $65000.00 $85000.00 per year

• Security System Engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
• CAD: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• PMP (Preferred)
