Job Description
Overview
Snyder & Associates has an immediate opening in our Council Bluffs Iowa office for a CAD Technician to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil transportation municipal and utilities engineering projects.
Responsibilities
This position will be involved on a daily basis with creating the detailed drawings and construction plans for civil engineering projects that include wind farms roads airports site planning municipal underground utilities and stormwater drainage.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with civil engineering projects in transportation utility and/or land development design is preferred
- Prior experience in the cleanup of topographic survey downloads a plus.
- Associates Degree in CAD or Certificate in Drafting or an acceptable level of CAD training with previous onthejob experience.
- Knowledge of MicroStation Geopak or AutoCAD strongly preferred
- Experience with ArcView a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Reliable worker with selfstarter qualities
- Able to work in teams and as an individual contributor
- Solid communication skills both written and verbal
