Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a SUMMER INTERN. This role will give you an excellent Intern experience in our Berkley Southeast Insurance Corporate office focused on learning more depth of the commercial business in the property and casualty segment. You will be able to work directly with our Underwriters Claims and Corporate Staff gaining valuable insurance experience through an 8week period with time spent in various business operations as follows:
- 2 weeks in claims
- 2 weeks in Corporate Underwriting
- 2 weeks in Branch Underwriting
- 1 week in Actuary
- 1 week split in Finance and Marketing
This is an 8week summer rotational role based in Lawrenceville GA. Currently we do not provide any housing assistance.
Key functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Processing and/or intake of various reports
- Data analysis and gathering
- Researching industries or segments
- Accounting and analysis/cost benefit
- Introductory Underwriting and Portfolio Management
- Marketing/Market research
Candidate(s) will be assigned an Intern Project at the end of the internship.
Qualifications
Enrolled in a 4year university
Majoring in Risk Management & Insurance Finance Business Management or similar majors
