Our Lady of Hope School is looking for a dynamic Art Teacher for theschool year.

Art Teachers Job Purpose
The goal of the art program at Our Lady of Hope School is to inspire a lifelong love and appreciation for art creativity and individual expression. We know the importance of educating the whole child through experiences with art music PE and technology and the Specialist Teachers at Our Lady of Hope are an essential part of our teaching team.

Job Description

Teaches art to all grade K8 students
Parttime MondayThursday 0.8 FTE). Fulltimecouldbe considered.

Ability and Skills Desired

An enthusiastic love of art
Experience teaching a variety of art techniques to children
Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaboration
Strong positive and proactive classroom management
Passion and enthusiasmfor working with elementary and middle schoolstudents
Willingnesstocreate a supportive partnership with parentsand students
High standards and the ability to support and challenge students to work to their potential
Experience with differentiated instruction
Solid organizational skills
Sense of humor and creative approach to solving problems
Acts as a positive team player to work cooperatively with the faculty including communicating with homeroom teachers and the administration regarding student progress.
Evaluates each individuals growth in skills knowledge and contribution in the classroom and communicates student progress via report card marks and parent conferences.

Preferred Qualifications
Teaching Certificate endorsed to teach K8 Art Education in WA State

Salary Range:
Salary for this position ranges from $35000$56000 depending on experience certification and placement on the salary scale. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.

A comprehensive benefits package is offered for positions of 30 hours per week.
