Job Description
An Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher for a permanent fulltime position commencing in September. The successful Chemistry Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the wonders of the molecular world and chemical reactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Chemistry Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Chemistry examinations ensuring a strong understanding of key concepts.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment where students can explore and appreciate the relevance of chemistry.
- Assess and monitor student progress in chemistry providing clear and constructive feedback as a Chemistry Teacher.
- Contribute to the evolution of the chemistry curriculum and the creation of engaging resources.
- Encourage student participation in practical experiments and scientific inquiry within chemistry.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong chemistry background.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Chemistry at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A comprehensive understanding of chemical principles and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex ideas clearly and engagingly as a Chemistry Teacher.
- Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities in their study of chemistry.
- A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the school.
