An established Independent School in Islington is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher for a permanent fulltime position starting in September. The successful Physical Education Teacher will promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Physical Education Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
- Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in PE and potentially sports science.
- Develop students physical fitness skills and understanding of sports and health.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback as a Physical Education Teacher.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular sports activities and teams.
- Encourage a lifelong commitment to physical activity and wellbeing.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level potentially including Key Stage 5.
- Strong knowledge of various sports physical activities and health principles.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in PE.
