Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join one of the strongest cardiovascular programs in the region. Our program is ranked in the top 10 in the nation for patient safety in heart attack care interventional coronary procedures and vascular care. This fulltime permanent position provides the opportunity to work in a stateoftheart cardiovascular center with a team of expert cardiologists and healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest level of care to patients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interventional cardiology procedures and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional procedures including coronary angioplasty stenting atherectomy and other advanced coronary interventions.
• Provide care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease heart failure and vascular disease.
• Participate in emergency care for heart attack patients utilizing cuttingedge techniques to restore blood flow and minimize damage.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists vascular surgeons and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as angiograms and echocardiograms to assess and monitor heart conditions.
• Educate patients on their diagnoses treatment options and lifestyle modifications to improve heart health and prevent future cardiovascular events.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records adhering to hospital and healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to the hospitals commitment to patient safety by following best practices and evidencebased protocols.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional cardiology and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in cardiovascular disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
• Extensive experience in performing coronary interventional procedures including angioplasty stenting and atherectomy.
• Strong diagnostic procedural and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work in a highvolume fastpaced clinical and procedural environment.
• Commitment to patient safety quality care and continuous learning.

Preferred Skills:

• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
• Proficiency in advanced coronary procedures and the latest interventional techniques.
• Experience in managing complex cases of coronary artery disease heart failure and vascular conditions.
