The City of Coppell is hiring a Court Specialist to provide courtroom support assist with Youth Diversion Programs and deliver excellent service to the public. This fulltime role plays a vital part in managing legal cases and ensuring court operations run smoothly and efficiently. Youll coordinate with judges community partners and internal teams while supporting juvenile case management court proceedings and customer service. Schedule Commitment
This position typically works MondayFriday 8:00 am5:00 pm however attendance in Court and Youth Programs can vary and may include some scheduled overtime or compensatory time.Pay Plan
This opportunity is nonexempt and on Pay Grade #8.The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade.Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range:$22.17The City of Coppell Court Specialist is required to be CJIS certified.Candidates must meet the requirements for CJIS access.
Experience
High School Diploma/GED.
3 Year of Experience in Customer Service and Money Handling Experience (e.g. processing payments balancing a cash drawer preparing deposits)
Ability to obtain Certified Court Clerk Level I (CCCI) within 1 years of hire
Ability to obtain Certified Court Clerk Level II (CCCI) within 3 years of hire
Ability to meet theminimumtraining & educational standards per S.B. 61 within 6 months of hire

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge
Knowledge of current legislation court procedures and trainingrelated to Municipal Court operations particularly as it pertains to juvenile/minor offenders.
Strong understanding of effective recordkeeping filing systems and compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations.
Proficiencyin the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively within a team of court officials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language for interacting with the public and preparing correspondence.
Effective multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities under strict deadlines.
Abilities
Ability to stay current on relevant legislation and procedural changes affecting court operations.
Ability to interact professionally and courteously with thegeneral public often in highpressure or emotionally charged situations.
Ability toremaincalm apply rational thinking and make sound decisions in emergency or highstress situations.
