On Call Caregiver

Job Summary:

Senior Helpers South Tacoma is seeking dependable passionate dedicated caregivers to join our team to provide inhome care services throughout Tacoma (and surrounding areas). Homecare can be unpredictable at times. As an oncall caregiver you will be on call for when a client may need immediate assistance or if another caregiver calls out we will need you to step in so we are not leaving our elderly clients without the care they need. You will be responsible for assisting seniors with their daily activities promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients favorite hobbies (sbooking gardening games etc.
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking dressing and other daily activities of living
• Assist with medication reminders and provide transportation for medical appointments
• Communicate effectively with clients families and care team members
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients physical condition mental capacity and behavior

Caregiver Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• HCA or CNA certification
• Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
