PROGRAM COMPONENT: Adult Day Services
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Under the general supervision of the Program Manager the person in this position is responsible for the coordination development implementation and documentation of services provided to persons supported by the Day Services program. This may include but is not limited to the provision of employmentrelated services ensuring smooth operations of the Day Program management of personssupported records management of billing and attendancerelated records participation in planning and COS meetings fostering community relationships to expand opportunities for persons supported and direct support for persons supported as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
10. Supervise all Day Program support staff as delegated by the Program Manager.
11. Provide transportation in Waves vehicles (sedans minivans and passenger vans) as needed.
12. Perform as acting Program Manager in the absence of the Program Manager under the guidance of the Adult Service Director.
13. Ensure all staff have proper training per assigned duties. Participate in programming when necessary to maintain appropriate ratios.
14. Provide employment services under the VR Letter of Agreement and for ECF and DIDD Supported Employment programs.
15. Provide services under the Katie Beckett waiver.
16. Maintain paperwork on vehicles required for compliance with TDOT and Waves Vehicle policies.
17. Be flexible in scheduling work hours each week.
18. Participate as TraintheTrainer for therapy plans for new therapies and new staff when requested.
19. Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification. Maintain all required training and other training deemed appropriate for the position.
20. Other duties may be assigned by the Program Manager or the Adult Services Director to ensure the smooth operation of the Franklin Day Services Division or the Agency as a whole.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED. Two years of work as a Direct Support Professional in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Professional experience in a related field could be substituted for work experience in the IDD field and a college degree can be substituted for the DSP work experience. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and Medication Administering Training. Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee drivers license. Must have flexibility in work schedule.
