REPORTS TO: School Nurse/PrincipalSalary: To be negotiated based on experience per the Union ContractRESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in managing the school health services program under the direction of the Nurse Coordinator of Student Services and the Principal in compliance with school district health policies procedures and protocolsStrengthens and facilitates the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of studentsAssists the School Nurse in focusing on the prevention of illnesses early detection and intervention for health problems.Collaborates with the School Nurse regarding medical needs care plans medication plans and communication with parents and medical specialists. Under direction from the School Nurse assists with the management of students or staff that present with symptoms resembling suspected COVID19 in accordance with the School Policies and Protocols.Provide other nursing care as determined by the School Nurse.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In collaboration with the School Nurse and as directed the LPN will:Provide school health services to studentsMaintain health records including daily health visitsDocument mandated school screenings and immunization complianceCoordinate school health activities and health educationServe as a liaison between school home and community regarding health issuesCommunicate with families regarding school attendanceOther duties as assigned by the Principal the Coordinator of Student Services and/or the School NurseQUALIFICATIONS:MA License Certified LPN or RN (salary TBD based on certification)Current Massachusetts certification in CPR AED and First AidApproved CORI and Fingerprinting resultsNo experience requiredCitizenship residency or work visa requiredBe at least 18 years old.Be in good physical health.Uptodate immunization records.Salary: LPN: $26.05 $33.27 depending on experienceCertified RN: $43858 $82639 depending on experience and degrees
