Job Description
Pay:$15.50 per hour!
Nature of Work:
The Mental Health Intern will provide individual counseling under the supervision and guidance of the SAP Coordinator or Clinical Supervisor. The Mental Health Intern will also conduct outreach facilitate workshops and other tasks as assigned. The Intern will have three 3 unique job placements available each serving different clinical populations and programs. The respective programs are: the Student Assistance Program (SAP) at Corning Community College our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) located at each of our Clinical offices and our Other Licensed Provider (OLP) program which is able to provide clinical services in our offices schools homes and the community. Office locations: Bath Corning Elmira Horseheads and Ithaca.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Masters level mental health program such as MHC MFT or MSW. MSW students must be in 2nd year of study in order to provide clinical services. We have limited opportunities for nonclinical internships.
- Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team and a working knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses preferred.
- May require reference and/or further background checks as warranted by program.
