Your Role as Manager Automation Engineering Services

As the Manager of Automation Engineering Services you will report directly to the President and play a pivotal role in leading and managing our automation services division. You will be the driving force behind the teams success ensuring highquality service delivery and fostering a positive growthoriented culture. This is your chance to shape the future of the automation division within BESTECH and contribute to our broader community of professionals.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Provide daytoday leadership and supervision of a highperforming and engaged automation team.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the automation team ensuring alignment with overall company goals and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of highquality automation solutions across a variety of projects ensuring adherence to regulatory and client standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business development growth opportunities and process improvements.
  • Play a key role in the recruitment and retention of top talent developing a culture of excellence engagement and diversity.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients contractors and other stakeholders ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Mentor and coach team members to ensure professional growth and peak performance.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of divisionspecific processes and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize operational costs and report deviations to senior management.
  • Oversee financial performance of projects including budgeting resource allocation and profitability tracking.
  • Perform design tasks when needed for projects.
  • Travel to other office locations or client sites as required.
  • Prioritize safety in all project undertakings.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Mechatronics or Computer Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng. license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in process control and automation in the mining sector with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within the consulting industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing teams with a focus on mentorship development and retention.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning business development and operational leadership.
  • Excellent communication leadership and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
