FAST FOOD CREW MEMBER

Summary/Objective

The purpose of this position is to provide prompt courteous service to guests trainees and employees in a manner that reflects professionalism as well as the Mission Vision and spirit of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions

1. Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for the cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas and equipment.
2. Promptly acknowledge guests trainees and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
3. Respond to and whenever possible resolve guests questions and complaints promptly and in a manner that reflects the Mission Vision and Spirit of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
4. Meet or exceed the expectations of the Food Service Management Team for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.

Cash Register Operations

1. Ensure that register money is retrieved delivered and handled in accordance with written procedures while working in the Cafeteria Grill or in a food service refreshment cart.
2. Operate cash register in an accurate effective and efficient manner to ensure that there is no delay in service to guests trainees or employees.
3. Ensure that all money is secure and always monitored.
4. Balance cash register at the end of shift and transport to Cash Control in an accurate and timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities No

Required Education and Experience

Education: Completion of High School or G.E.D. required.

Experience: Previous cashier experience strongly desired. Some experience 03 months) in a food service environment desired. Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment. Must be able to interact with guests trainees and employees effectively and in a courteous professional manner.

Work Environment/Physical Demands Summary

This position has the following special requirements:

• Walking to access other departments and areas of the Food Service Department.
• Standing for long periods of time 46 hour) or for duration of shift operating cash register on concrete floor.
• Pushing carrying lifting items equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds to waist height.
• Bending kneeling reaching to store & retrieve supplies and equipment.
• Reading sight wrist movements feeling to operate cash register handle money.
• Talking and hearing to communicate with supervisors coworkers guests and employees.
• This position involves working in a climatecontrolled environment.
• This position may involve working in a kitchen that is subject to changing temperatures.
• This position deals extensively with the public and employees throughout the organization who interact with assigned area of responsibility.
