Job Description
About the Position
We are seeking a midlevel mechanical engineer to join our expanding Energy team at one of the following Pond offices: Peachtree Corners GA; Atlanta GA; Houston TX; or Tampa FL. The successful candidate will work alongside our Energy mechanical team to support a wide range of projects for global clients in industries such as oil & gas aviation fuel systems (military and commercial) power delivery renewables and utilities. The engineer will play a key role in delivering highquality mechanical engineering solutions and contributing to multidisciplinary projects across various market sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or contribute to mechanical design projects across oil & gas aviation fuel systems (military and commercial) renewables and utilities sectors
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure timely accurate project and highquality project delivery
- Provide mechanical engineering solutions that adhere to client specifications industry standards and safety codes
- Support project management efforts ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Demonstrate proven leadership by guiding mentoring and providing technical instruction to junior team members
- Travel domestically and internationally for site assessments onsite training and project support as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology
- 37 years of professional experience including internship experience
- EIT (EngineerinTraining) certification required; Professional Engineer (P.E. is preferred
- Proficiency with industrystandard design software including Plant 3D AutoCAD CADWorx and CAESAR II
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problemsolving
- Selfmotivated with a strong commitment to producing highquality work
- Eagerness to learn grow and take on new challenges within the mechanical engineering field
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for project support
- Proven expertise in the design and analysis of fuel systems including airport fuel handling jet fuel hydrant networks pipeline and truck receipt systems storage tanks oilwater separators and fuel distribution pumping setups. Strong capability in designing both single and doublewall piping systems performing hydraulic modeling stress analysis and ensuring compliance with critical standards such as ATA 103 APIASMEB31.3/B31.4 and NFPA 30 11.
