Job Description
We need to focus on the below pointers while we are looing for profiles especially for L2 roles.
- Good Experience inKubernetes is a must helm charts monitoring tools (Kafka PrometheusDynatrace is a must)
- Strong Scripting experience (Expert in Pyhton / Bash is a must) if we can find both then defineltly helpfull
- Need more experience in SRE roles compared to Devops
- Good Communication
Level 2 Senior Support Engineer (SRE/DevOps):
Summary:
This senior role plays a critical role in our SRE/DevOps team providing advanced support and expertise across various technologies. You will troubleshoot complex issues mentor junior engineers and lead projects independently.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced Troubleshooting and ProblemSolving:
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across various technologies (MongoDB OpenShift Kafka etc..
- Identify root causes of problems escalated from l1 support and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in incident response ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess indepth knowledge and experience with 46 of the listed technologies including their architecture administration and troubleshooting.
- Possess a basic level knowledge of all listed technologies or obtain them in a short period of time
- Stay uptodate on the latest trends and best practices in SRE/DevOps and cloud technologies.
- Share knowledge and expertise by mentoring and coaching Level 1 engineers.
- Project Management:
- Take ownership of assigned projects independently managing tasks and timelines.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes procedures and solutions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate SRE/DevOps processes.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Coach and mentor L1 engineers providing guidance and support in their development.
- Foster a collaborative and learning environment within the team.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 610years of experience as an SRE/DevOps engineer or related role.
- Strong expertise in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and Linux administration.
- Indepth knowledge and experience with 5 of the listed technologies(MongoDB OpenShift Kafka Jaegar/Open Telemetry container based Elastic Search nginx REDIS Promethius gitlab internal support KibanaOracle kernel troubleshooting (not db) Axway Conjur secrets manager Containerized S3 FlywayMin.IoControl.im Argo CD DynatraceS3 Splunk(low need) helmcharts Java code).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Additional responsibilities such as designing and implementing automation solutions or participating in infrastructure design and development.
